Ten3 - a Comprehensive Business Development Solution

It was predicted that the role of e-marketplaces will evolve from simple information provider and matchmaker of buyers and sellers into trusted intermediaries and advisers and ultimately into digital work environments and value trust networks. With Ten3 portals, you can witness the beginning of this transition process.

  • The core competitive advantage of Ten3 is its Business e-Coach (see slide show) on:

The e-coach guides entrepreneurs, investors, and business facilitators through the venture development process, helps them understand each other better and find most suitable innovative solutions. The business coach plays the key role in  as it attracts the critical mass of users to  Ten3 sites. It serves also as the binding agent that holds the different parts of Ten3 portals together integrating them into a unique winning combination of Web-based business development services.

  • Time is more critical then money in this era of rapid changes. Thanks to its global partnerships, Ten3 from a single window provides fast and convenient access to all information required for rapid business development.

  • Cross-pollination of ideas among  different venture development stakeholders is the key to success in the era of systemic innovation. Ten3  facilitates effective and focused communication and interaction among entrepreneurs, investors, technologists, business development experts, and policy makers through its business e-coach and business communities.

  • Stakeholders can do more than just generate new ideas at Ten3. They can implement them too. Ten3 - a Global Network of Virtual Offices for Innovative Firms

Ten3 (Technology e-ncubate, e-nnovate, e-nvest) presents the new generation of the Internet-based business services aiming at developing into a global web of virtual business centers. It contains a four-in-one business support tool: business coach × business information source × business communication media × project development workspace.

Ten3 provides a unique e-coaching service guiding entrepreneurs and investors to winning business solutions, inspires innovative ideas, facilitates cross-pollination of these ideas among stakeholders (entrepreneurs, financiers, business facilitators), and provides a platform for immediate, fast and effective implementation of these ideas by project partners in private and secure workspaces (see Ten3 slide show).

Why Ten3?

We are leaving in the new era of globalization and systemic innovation where new products and services are emerging from complex interactions of  and cross-pollination of ideas among many individuals, organizations and environmental factors (see slide show). Innovation is not divisible any more - "good in parts" is no good at all.

Though Internet can play a crucial role in this new era, its potential is largely underutilized. Internet is a good library, but a poor librarian. It is a valuable resource for business people who

  1. have enough time to search through Internet, and

  2. know precisely what they are looking for.

However, in today's rapidly changing business environment and emerging Information Overflow Syndrome

  1. time becomes increasingly precious and scarce resource, and

  2. venturing into rapidly growing jungles of unknown requires rather fast and pro-active guiding and risk warning than an rich choice of reference materials.

Finally, winning innovative solutions are inspired and developed in the process of cross-pollination of ideas, rather than narrowly focused search. Facing these challenges, Internet can play much more proactive role than that of a searchable depository of information. Internet deserved promotion and can assume the role of an inspiring guide to the minds looking for innovative ideas. But why it is not happening?

The first main barrier is strict division of jobs between the content providers and the information technology (IT) specialists. Content providers have poor knowledge about the range of IT and Web design instruments that could be employed to add value to their material. IT professionals, on their part, have insufficient understanding of the content to suggest innovative IT and web design solutions that would enhance the message.

The second barrier is the lack of cross-pollination of ideas among the content providers themselves. They are good experts in their respective sectors. There is no systematic cross-sectoral exchanges among these experts, however, that would enable them to synergize their ideas and generate systemic solutions on a continuous basis.

How Ten3 Managed to Overcome these Barriers?

There is no simple answer to this question. The portal development belongs to the era of systemic innovation where knowledge, technology, people, and processes are integral parts of a unique winning combination. The underlying secret of Ten3 success is that the prototype of the Web portal - its concept, content, architectural design and linkage matrix - was designed and implemented by a cross-functional team of cross-functional individuals. It was not outsourced to deeply but narrowly specialized Web-masters at the concept stage, which is a usual practice. Remember the motto of systemic innovation: "good in parts is no good at all"? We too! Thus, the prototype was developed by an international team of multi-talented business development experts who have good knowledge in the field of information technology and learnt the ABC of Web design for the purpose. The communication gap between business development experts and web masters was thus significantly narrowed to allow more effective cross-pollination of ideas and co-inventing. The working prototype is now ready for upgrading by IT professionals to the state-of-the-art stage.
